Innocent, in a way is a short documentary that follows two different artistic worlds and brings together the infamous American porn star Bella Donna & the immensely talented Spanish painter Alberto Mieglo. Everything Alberto has to say is really spot on. I couldn’t agree more with his philosophy on what is deemed “shocking” and what isn’t in society today.

Sam Mark
I met up with Samuel Mark almost three months ago for this interview, it was my second time meeting him since the summer of 2010. When we first met he was set up on the sidewalk and in the process of finishing up a piece called “The King of New York” while selling some other pieces. There were three other artist that I met on Prince street that day, two that were familiar with Sam had nothing but good mentions of him to share. It was clear that he was admired by his peers not only on an artistic level, but for his personality and shown character. After touching base with him again, on a much more personal level, in late October I realized that Sam indeed did have a big heart and a equally big story to tell.

Everyday is a new start, but more so in the new years does it cross our minds that changes within ourselves can be made. The concept of Sankofa comes into play, tomorrow is always a new day, but it’s important that we learn from yesterday in order to grow.
